The dragrace scene wasnt filmed in Lawrenceville. It was filmed at Richmond Dragway in Sandston VA on Portugee Road. My husband & kids dragrace there & he went by the day they were there. The pics match up on their website of the brick announcer tower, the back staging wall, etc.
