You’re All Going to Diet (episode 3.3)

Fans of The Last Man on Earth will undoubtedly remember Gordon’s Mansion, which was featured in many episodes of the show, including the hilarious “You’re All Going To Diet” in season 2. What many fans may not know, however, is that the famous mansion is actually the Farralone House, located on Farralone Ave in Chatsworth, CA.

The Farralone House is a stunning property that has been featured in numerous films and television shows over the years. Its striking architecture and picturesque location in the hills of Chatsworth make it a popular filming location for productions looking to capture the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty.

In fact, the property has a rich and storied past that includes many famous faces from Hollywood’s golden era.

The Farralone House (far away) was once owned by the legendary crooner Frank Sinatra, who purchased the property in the 1950s. During his ownership, the house became a hotspot for celebrities and VIPs, with members of the Rat Pack and other A-list stars often in attendance at lavish parties and events.

And while the Farralone House may be best known for its association with Sinatra, it has also been linked to other famous figures from the era, including Marilyn Monroe and President John F. Kennedy. Rumor has it that the two had a rendezvous at the property, which only added to its mystique and allure.

Today, the Farralone House stands as a testament to the glamour and excitement of Hollywood’s heyday, and a reminder of the many legends who have called California home over the years. And for fans of The Last Man on Earth, it will always be Gordon’s Mansion, the scene of some of the show’s most unforgettable moments. MAP IT!!

Leo Carrillo State Beach

The beautiful beaches of Malibu were a popular filming location for The Last Man on Earth, and one of the most memorable scenes featuring the character Tandy and Louis was filmed at Leo Carrillo State Beach. The scene showcases the show’s ability to blend humor and heart, with Tandy and Louis discussing their hopes and fears as they navigate the challenges of living in a post-apocalyptic world. Against the stunning natural beauty of the beach, the characters’ struggles take on added poignancy, reminding viewers of the fragility of human existence and the importance of connection and companionship in even the most dire circumstances.

Once again, The Last Man on Earth proves that it is more than just a comedy series, but a thoughtful exploration of what it means to be human in a world that has been turned upside down. MAP IT!!

In another memorable scene from The Last Man on Earth, the crew stumbles upon a self-sustaining building located in West Hills, California.

Lewis’ Home In Seattle, WA aka Chatsworth, CA

One of the most striking things about The Last Man on Earth is the way it uses visual storytelling to transport viewers to different locations and settings. In episode 6 of season 3, we see Lewis’s house in Seattle, but in reality, the house is located at 22639 Ballinger Street in Chatsworth, California.

Despite the difference in location, the production team did an incredible job of creating a convincing and immersive environment that captured the essence of Seattle.

From the rainy weather to the distinct architecture, the scene perfectly captured the Pacific Northwest city’s unique character.

The use of a real-life location like Lewis’s house adds an element of authenticity to the show’s portrayal of the post-apocalyptic world. Even in a world where everything has changed, the places we call home remain an important and grounding force, reminding us of who we are and where we come from. MAP IT!!

Phil (Tandy) & Mike Miller’s Tucson Family Home

One of the most iconic locations from The Last Man on Earth is Tandy and Mike Miller’s Tucson house. While the characters are meant to be living in Arizona, the actual location of the house is in Chatsworth, California. You can even find it on Google Street View at 22420 Itasca St, Chatsworth, CA 91311.

Despite the difference in location, the production team did an incredible job of creating a convincing and immersive environment that captured the essence of the Arizona desert. From the warm, earthy tones of the house to the cacti and succulents in the yard, the scene perfectly captured the unique character of the Southwest.

The use of a real-life location like Tandy and Mike’s house adds an element of authenticity to the show’s portrayal of the post-apocalyptic world. By grounding the show’s fantastical elements in the real world, The Last Man on Earth reminds viewers that even in the face of unimaginable challenges, there is still a connection to be found with the places we call home.
