Avatar: The Way of Water Manhattan Beach Filming Locations

Manhattan Beach in California was where the highly anticipated Avatar 2, The Way To Water was created.

The planet of Pandora is actually a massive sound stage located on the MBS Media Campus backlot. The amazing movie making complex can be found at 1600 Rosecrans Avenue in Manhattan Beach. This is where most of the movie had been secretly filming for the last 10 years.

Fun Film Fact: Avatar 2 was going to be created at a vacant building located at 29901 Agoura Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. In 2011 James Cameron’s company put in bid to rent this location and quickly backed out when they found the Manhattan Beach spot.

The second soundstage located inside the Stone Street Sudios in Wellington, New Zealand was also used.
