High Noon Filming Locations Chatsworth, CA – 1952

Fun fact: The iconic opening scenes of the classic western film HIGH NOON, featuring the credits and the deserted town, were actually shot at the Iverson Ranch near Chatsworth, north of Los Angeles. However, the film’s setting of the fictitious ‘Hadleyville, New Mexico’ was meant to be portrayed by the charming Main Street of Columbia State Historic Park, which is a beautifully preserved gold rush town located in Northern California.

Update: The old Western Street located inside the Warner Bros. Ranch was also used as Main Street. Located at 411 North Hollywood Way, Burbank, California

In addition to its historical significance, HIGH NOON remains a highly acclaimed film and is considered a timeless masterpiece of the western genre. If you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s currently available for streaming on popular platforms such as Hulu and Starz. So, grab some popcorn and settle in for a cinematic experience that will transport you back in time to the wild west!

Where Was The Church Seen In The Film?

It’s fascinating to learn that the church seen in the film HIGH NOON was actually the St Joseph’s Mission, which is still located at 18473 Gardner Avenue in Tuolumne City, California.

It’s amazing how many small details go into creating the look and feel of a film. From the setting to the costumes and props, every element helps to immerse the audience in the story and bring the characters and their world to life. The use of real locations, such as St. Joseph’s Church, adds a sense of authenticity and realism to the film, making it all the more memorable and impactful.
