Mrs. Baskets’ Hotel in “Denver”

Thanks to another tip from Randy M, we now know that the hotel featured as Mrs. Baskets’ hotel in “Denver” in the TV series “Baskets” was actually the Coast Anabelle Hotel located in Burbank, California. The hotel is located at 2011 W Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91506.

Burbank is a city located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County and is known for its rich history in the entertainment industry, being home to major studios such as Warner Bros. and Disney.

The Coast Anabelle Hotel is a boutique hotel that features charming decor and a range of amenities for its guests, including an on-site restaurant called Olive’s Bistro. It’s likely that the restaurant was used for the scene where Mrs. Baskets orders her Denver Omelette. MAP IT!!

Reagan Library As A Filming Location:

After managing to slip away from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library undetected, Chip found himself stranded and in need of a ride. Desperate for any means of transportation, he eventually spotted a big-rig and decided to take his chances hitching a ride. It wasn’t exactly a glamorous option, but it beat getting caught and facing the consequences of his daring escape.

Fortunately, a friendly truck driver was willing to give him a lift, and Chip gratefully climbed aboard. As they drove through the streets of Santa Clarita, Chip couldn’t help but feel relieved that he had managed to evade capture once again.

As they approached the intersection of 13th and Arch Streets, Chip noticed a distinctive yellow 20 MPH sign and a fake phone booth on the corner. He recognized the location from Google Street View, which he had used to plan his escape route in advance. It was a surreal experience to see it in person after so much time spent studying it online.

The Airport Location:

The Ontario Airport is a popular destination for travelers in Southern California, and it’s not uncommon for filmmakers to use its facilities as a filming location. In this case, Terminal 2 was transformed to look like the Denver Airport, complete with signage, props, and other details to create the illusion of a different location.

Similarly, when Christine returns to “Bakersfield” and is seen at baggage claim, the scene was actually filmed at the old Terminal One baggage claim area at Ontario Airport. Once again, the filmmakers were able to transform the location to create the illusion of a different setting, in this case, the baggage claim area of a small airport in Bakersfield.

The stand-in for the Denver Airport (Where Christine yells for a taxi) is Terminal 2 at Ontario Airport.   When she returns to “Bakersfield” and is at baggage claim, she is actually at the old Terminal One baggage claim again at Ontario Airport.
